Community-based health checks may identify people with high BP and could provide an option for self[1]monitoring. Broader implementation is needed to increase the reach in rural areas and among the elderly population.

This pilot study revealed the inappropriately addressed levels of cardiovascular risk in the rural community, and the recipients' acceptance to this health screening method was favourable. ‘Heart Screen’ should be validated in further larger studies.
