Shane Warne Legacy Heart Test

SiSU Health proudly supported the Shane Warne Legacy (SWL) Heart Test by providing 23 SiSU Health Stations at the 2023 MCG Boxing Day Test.

7,847 cricket fans did a free 4-minute, self service, medical grade health check and nationally the SWL goal of achieving 23,000 checks by the end of 2023 was smashed on December 28, 2023

The SWL is well on its way to delivering 500,000 free Shane Warne Heart Health Tests for Australians nationally within the first 12 months. The aim is to increase awareness on cardiovascular disease risk with the potential to save many lives.

The SWL national heart health awareness program heart health checks will be delivered via SiSU Health’s national network of Health Stations.

The aim is to reduce the risk of cardiovascular disease in Australia over the next 10 years and save hundreds of thousands of lives through increased heart health awareness, blood pressure measurement, effective triaging to GPs, and ongoing support to assist with adherence to prescribed treatments.

What is the Shane Warne Legacy Heart Test?

  • A free 4-minute self-serve medical grade health check on a SiSU Health Station with a focus on cardiovascular health to raise awareness and health literacy. 
  • It incorporates blood pressure, heart rate, blood pressure medication use, smoking, BMI, diabetes risk, diabetes status and more. 
  • Participants receive a Heart Age estimate to raise awareness of their risk of heart disease and nudges to consult their GP if they measure potentially problematic results including high blood pressure or a BMI of 35+ or higher. 
  • It will help identify and engage people in the community that could subsequently benefit from a GP-led heart health check.
